NYC

Hanging at Jeff's place w/ ALL the mutts! There were 5 total!

We have been hosted in Brooklyn by 2 families: Jeff Smith (Ben's dear friend from studying art in Italy during college) and Christie, Tim June and George (Chewonki friends). Lulu has now been able to spend many nights w/ her closest camp peeps on this adventure.
We have been adventuring around the city, testing the limits of my urban patience. Most of you know I don't do big cities. Highlights include: Dinner out w/ Wombo Wu & Jenny in Manhattan. Broadway show Maybe Happy Ending (I can't italicize on this blog yet...), which was deeply touching and highly recommended! A family argument in the rain somewhere deep in East Village -not my best traveling-mom moment. Behind the scenes tour of Ellis Island hospital, morgue and sick wards. Beautiful day to be on the ferries. Capt. Chris Baker had some down time between docking massive ships in NYC Harbor so he came and hung out w/ us. We all visited the 9-11 Memorial which was very very beautiful and so incredibly well done. We also walked over the Brooklyn Bridge.
NYC - your food does not disappoint, I will need a 2-assist and a Hoyer lift to get me back on to the boat!
