Washington DC
After the boat show wrapped up, we decided to head into DC. Ben found a great hotel that took dogs! We found an Uber who took dogs and we were off.
We had an amazing dinner with Danielle Mysliwiec, dear friend from Alford Lake Camp, and her awesome family of Casey Johnston, Ellis & Uma (plus an 8 ye old goldfish). They live in Tacoma Park, just a few metro stops from my Union Station and they rolled out the red carpet! Yummy amazing food! Awesome company and then to top it off: a piano performance by Uma where we got to sing an old ALC song and Ellis rocked his violin and played a beautiful piece! It was a very special night with a super duper rad family! We forgot to get a pic😱 I got to do a group from Danielle’s art studio- what a treat!!!!
We had a blast exploring the city! Details are with the pics;) We even got to see Brigg The Spy as he was “working with the WHO on improving emergency response to global health crises” …yeah right…we’re on to you! Funny enough, Casey & Brigg used to work together at MSF (Doctor’s without Borders) in NYC years ago before they married my dear friends respectively🤪
We noticed a real lack of dogs around the capital…likely since a lot of people don’t actually live there…just work there…However, Senator King’s office has 5 dogs that usually come into work- except the freakin’ day we were there!
