Where do the dogs poop???!! 9/19/26

Every single day we get the question: “Where do your dogs poop?”

Many of you know that I have a co-dependent relationship with my 3 dogs. Definitely batting for the Crazy Dog Lady Team. There was NO doubt that they were coming on this adventure. I grew up cruising with my family and our family mutt Scruffy. My mom loved taking him ashore for long walks everyday. Feels GOOD to get off the boat.

Our fail dog schedule involves feeding them. We keep a big bin of food under the main settee (dining table) and an extra big bag of dog food in deep storage under one of the seat cushions. Moose and Pickles have not figured out how to climb the companion way stairs so they need a lift. Fonzie hops easily. Then we all go ashore. This can be a downtime leash walk OR an off leash romper fest on a beach. We do this at least 2x per day. I’m the early morning dog walker and Ben is the late night walker. Everyone enjoys getting off the boat to explore ashore for the big walk.

Eventually we will be doing overnight hops down the coast as the weather allows and at that point they will need to pee on the boat…stay tuned. The research I’ve done is all the training to get them to use pee pads doesn’t work. They hold hold hold it till they don’t.

The places I am motivated to explore because I’m crushing with dogs is AMAZING most everyday! But it’s not so amazing when I step in a hot slimy pile of fresh Pickles barf on deck. Or when wet dogs crawl under my bed covers…
