Storm prep Bristol RI 9/24/26

Well, we're all tucked on a large mooring just off the Herreshoff Marine Museum in Bristol RI. The mooring was set for a larger sailboat than the LuRu so we should be all set. We have been battening down the hatches, I cut and pasted my todo list below.

We had a "get organized" day for schooling (that is code for Ben and I trying not to rip each other's heads off). Ben has been working hard at designing a Homeschool Dashboard for the kids and we spent the better part of the day getting settled into it and getting links to work etc. So much about this trip is hard but trying to be on the same page w/ your spouse on the education front is one of the HARDest for me. To make it easier, I have declared that Ben is likely best at heading up the homeschooling thang... (ie: I have panic attacks). So I worked on the above chore list while Ben and the girls worked on the schooling list. May the force be with us.

The wind has been honking for days but it's really supposed to kick up tonight. Zoe and Teak (friends from Newport) dropped off a car for us today! SOOOOO great. Ben and girls ashore provisioning while I am doing a Group (that's my contact work). I am definitely viewing working as a break from parenting and captaining. Since we're super stuck here I have picked up some more work while I know we won't be underway sailing etc.
